Marek & Julie Hancik
Czech Republic is likely the most atheistic country in Europe. Our hearts yearn for Czech people to understand their need for Jesus as their Savior. Our ultimate goals are church-planting and training nationals for ministry.
We have lived in Czech Republic as missionaries since June 2006. With the goal of church planting, we moved to the town of Tisnov, 20 kilometers outside of Brno. Tisnov has a population of 10,000 and is growing rapidly with new housing developments. Before our church plant which began in 2010, there was no evangelical church in this town. With God’s help and guidance, we have begun church meetings, Bible studies, and English clubs while discipling and training Czechs for ministry.
Marek is from Brno, Czech Republic. He earned an MDiv degree from Moody Graduate School in Chicago. He also has an M.A. in Education of History and Geography from Masaryk University in Brno, CZ. Julie is from the U.S. and holds a B.A. degree in Print Media Communications. She also holds a certification to Teach English as a Second Language.
