David & Stefania Harlea

My name is David Harlea, I’m married with Stefania and we have two children Samuel and Patrick.

I was born in a Christian family of ten children. We were brought to church every single Sunday and we understood the Gospel from an early age. As a teenager I started praying and asking God for forgiveness realizing that I’m a sinner desperately lost without his grace and that no good deeds can save me. When I was about 13th of age, I got involved in a group of young Christians who were active in ministry, visits, evangelism, and worship. Later when I was about 17, I found out about a group of young people named Titus International who were serving in my church, in Fundulea and other places around Bucharest. I was willing to help and understood that God is calling me to serve Him due to a great satisfaction and burden to visit new converts, and encourage them in faith. After high school, The Lord prepared an opportunity for me to grow spiritually and commit my life to ministry at Word of Life Bible Institute in Hungary. There I saw many inspiring examples of missionaries and I told the Lord that I am available wherever he would lead me. Then I came home to Bucharest and I was led to continue to work with our “Titus” ministry in Sinesti, Fundulea, Piteasca, etc.. Later I went to the Baptist Seminary in Bucharest, I got married and I continued to serve in the same places.

Today, I still serve the Lord in Sinesti as a Pastor. We also have an afterschool program 3 days per week, a children club in Sinesti and in Piteasca and a teenager bible reading group. In summers and winters, we have camps for discipleship or evangelism. Because all these activities require a team, I am grateful that God always gave us wonderful team members and inspiring friends (Vasi and Alina, Lili, Adi and Niki) and we could serve together for his glory.
