Gerald & Kristin Ziemer

Gerald and Kristin Ziemer are Word of Life Bible Institute graduates who joined ourl missionary family highly recommended by Word of Life and their commissioning church, Highland Park Baptist Church of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Both Gerald and Kristin came to Christ at an early age and were reared in godly Christian homes. Gerald graduated from Tennessee Temple University with a BS in Christian Ministries. Kristin grew up on the West coast and attended Western Baptist College in Salem, OR where she graduated with a BS in Intercultural Studies. In 1993 they were accepted as missionaries to Romania with Word of Life International and had over two years of effective youth ministry in the capital, Bucharest. After their first term in Romania, they chose to join our missionary family and continue their ministries among youth and children in Romania.

The Ziemers began an effective discipleship ministry for these young believers. Many have made personal commitments to serve the Lord in full-time ministry and share a special relationship with the Ziemers as they continue to be trained to do the work of the ministry. They get hands on training, working side-by-side with the missionaries in conducting sports evangelism, Bible club work and Christian youth camps. They coordinate with existing Romanian churches and church planting ministries and missionaries.

They had the opportunity to pastor and grow the Hope Baptist Church in Fundulea for 20 years, while assisting that church in planting three new church plants during this time.

They have also developed a camping ministry through Camp Eli, a 120 bed facility in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains.  This project started in 2004, and has been used of the Lord to impact the lives of thousands of children and teens with the gospel over the past 16 years.
